Voting Rights Act turns 50

On August 6, 2015 Newark Branch NAACP members Delaware Alliance for Community Advancement, Common Cause, and Delaware Sierra Club for a press conference to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act.  The U.S. Justice Department has called this Act the most effective civil rights law ever passed in this country.
